According to ancient and medieval science, Aether was known as the material that fills the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere. The concept of Aether was used in several theories to explain natural phenomena, such as the traveling of light and gravity. Also Aether was described as
the unique essence that flows through most of existence. It is the source of Quintessence, Chi, Aura and Mana. In the late 19th century, physicists postulated that Aether permeated all throughout space, providing a medium through which light could travel in a vacuum. Plato mentions Aether as the most translucent kind of air, but it is Aristotle who separates it from the terrestrial classical elements and ultimately names it the Fifth Element. Robert Fludd stated that the character of aether was “subtler than light”. Fludd cites the 3rd-century view of Plotinus, concerning the aether as penetrative and non-material.
Were I to assume an hypothesis, it should be this, if propounded more generally, so as not to assume what light is further than that it is something or other capable of exciting vibrations of the Aether.

There have been numerous claims and many theories postulated by natural philosophers, alchemists and very early modern physicists that confirm Aether’s power. One of those claims was that Aether was the pure essence that the Mythological Gods lived and breathed much like humans did with air. Another was that Aether was the force used by God to create the Universe. An additional reference to the mystical nature of Aether can be found in the Hermeticist book “The Kybalion” that not only explain its characteristics but the plane it comes from. As mentioned in the Astrology page, Aether is from the “Ethereal Plane”, a Physical Plane that exists between the the two planes of both matter and energy. However, it can partake in the nature of either substances, even though Aether is neither of these things.
The idea that Aether might originate from an alternate invisible plane of existence might seem far-fetched, but just look at the claims made in this recently de-classified FBI file on UFO’s dated July 8, 1947. It might help to put some of that skepticism to rest.
Here is a transcript of some of the most important details of the report:
1. Part of the disks carry crews, others are under remote control
2. Their mission is peaceful. The visitors contemplate settling on this plane
3. These visitors are human-like but much larger in size
4. They are not excarnate Earth people, but come from their own world
5. They do NOT come from a planet as we use the word, but from an etheric planet which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us
6. The bodies of the visitors, and the craft, automatically materialize on entering the vibratory rate of our dense matter
7. The disks posses a type of radiant energy or a ray, which will easily disintegrate any attacking ship. They reenter the etheric at will, and so simply disappear from our vision, without trace
8. The region from which they come is not the “astral plane”, but corresponds to the Lokas or Talas. Students of osoteric matters will understand these terms.
9. They probably can not be reached by radio, but probably can be by radar. if a signal system can be devised for that (apparatus
Addendum: The Lokas are oval shape, fluted length oval with a heat-resistaning metal or alloy not yet known the front cage contains the controls, the middle portion a laboratory; the rear contains armament, which consists essentially of a powerful energy apparatus, perhaps a ray.

In Easy Journey To Other Planets by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada states:
The discoverers of the two forms of matter have yet to find out the qualities of anti-matter. But a vivid description is already given in the Bhagavad gita as follows. The scientist can make further re search on the basis of this valuable information.
The perfection of science will occur when it is possible for the material scientists to know the qualities of the anti-material particle and liberate it from the association of non-permanent material particles. Such liberation would mark the culmination of scientific progress.
The anti-material particle is finer than the finest of material particles. This living force is so powerful that it spreads its influence all over the material body. The anti-material particle has immense potency in comparison to the material particle, and consequently it cannot be destroyed. (BG – 2.16)
This is but the beginning of the description of the anti-material particle in the Bhagavad Gita. It is further explained as follows:
The finest form of the anti-material particle is encaged within the gross and subtle material bodies. Although the material bodies both gross and subtle are subject to destruction, the finer anti-material particle is eternal. One’s interest, therefore, should be in this eternal principle. (BG – 2.18)
By being set in movement this fluid, the ether, becomes gross matter. Its movement arrested, the primary substance reverts to its normal state. It appears, then, possible for man through harnessed energy of the medium and suitable agencies for starting and stopping ether whirls to cause matter to form and disappear. At his command, almost without effort on his part, old worlds would vanish and new ones would spring into being.

The RVA – Our View s Concerning Aether: There have been days, some very sunny days where it can be observed best, at times you can literally see it. It just suddenly appears. The Aether will dance in front of your eyes, like liquid light swirling and moving in waves. It’s not dust or debris in the air it’s something else, finer than the air itself; undulating, moving like an ocean of energy that is breathing all around you. Like the lines on a TV screen or the light projected in a movie theater, the image is being broadcast before you. But it’s more than that, it seems that the Aether is a part of the image itself and the projector of the image that you’re perceiving. Then it’s gone.
